Primary Tours & Travel, Inc. proudly participated as a buyer at the 17th Regional Travel Fair (RTF) organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, held in Baguio City from May 14–17, 2026. This year’s edition placed a special spotlight on the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), showcasing its rich culture, cool climate, and diverse tourism circuits.

Event Snapshot: The fair featured a full-day B2B session with around 80 accredited buyers and 50 Cordillera-based sellers, followed by two days of B2C public selling of discounted domestic tour packages, accommodations, and travel services.

About the TPB 17th Regional Travel Fair

The Regional Travel Fair is one of TPB’s flagship programs aimed at strengthening domestic tourism by connecting regional tourism stakeholders with accredited buyers and the traveling public. The 17th edition continued this mission by bringing together tourism offices, private operators, and community-based enterprises from across the Philippines.

Spotlight on the Cordillera Administrative Region

The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) took center stage during the fair. Known for its mountain ranges, pine forests, and indigenous heritage, CAR is home to iconic destinations such as:

  • Baguio City – the Summer Capital of the Philippines
  • Ifugao – home of the UNESCO-listed Banaue Rice Terraces
  • Benguet – known for La Trinidad Strawberry Farm and scenic highlands
  • Mountain Province – famous for Sagada’s caves and hanging coffins
  • Kalinga – cultural heartland known for traditional tattoo artistry
  • Abra, Apayao, Tabuk City – emerging eco-adventure and cultural destinations

The fair highlighted CAR’s unique blend of nature, culture, and adventure tourism, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s most distinct and experience-rich regions.

The two-day B2C fair at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center welcomed travelers seeking discounted domestic tour packages, locally made products, and accommodation deals. Visitors also enjoyed cultural showcases, regional booths, and interactive tourism presentations.

Post-Tour Immersion

A signature component of TPB’s Regional Travel Fair is the post-tour program, where buyers and sellers experience the host region firsthand. This immersion helps participants evaluate destination readiness and gather insights for product development and marketing.
